Leslie is currently preparing for Routledge a third edition of ‘Music Therapy: An Art beyond Words’ with co-authors Brynjulf Stige and Claire Ghetti.

September 2024 – Leslie is presented with Honorary Membership of the European Association of Music and Imagery (EAMI).

February 2024 - Routledge publishes the second edition of ‘The Handbook of Music Therapy’ with Leslie’s co-editors Sarah Hoskyns and Sangeeta Swamy. The handbook has been updated with new materials, recent research and more focus on current social-cultural challenges. For more information see: The Handbook of Music Therapy

Summer 2023 – Leslie joins the Society of Authors.

Spring 2023 – Leslie is invited to be a Visiting Research Fellow at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London working with the music therapy team on research developments.

Autumn 2020 – Leslie retires as Professor in Music Therapy at the University of the West of England, Bristol and is awarded the title of Emeritus Professor in Music Therapy. He moves from Bristol to Seaford on the East Sussex coast.
